We would like to congratulate SACC Board Member Jörgen Ericsson on his recent appointment as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development at tech learning platform company Declara as he moves from Cisco IBSG.
Previous to his recent posting, Jörgen held a number of executive positions with Cisco IBSG culminating with his appointment in July of 2009 to the position of Global Lead for the company’s Financial Services Practice. He has had a long and successful strategic management career beginning at McKinsey & Company where he was responsible for building Scandinavian business practice. At Adera, he became, at 31 years of age, the youngest CEO to head up a company listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange. At A.T. Kearney he helped build the firm’s Nordic Finance, Private Equity and High Tech Practices to more than 50 percent of Nordic business.
Jörgen grew up in Sweden and attended Stockholm School of Economics where he graduated receiving a Master of Science degree with three majors: Managerial Economics and Control, Finance, and Organization. He subsequently received a Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jörgen has had a lifelong love of athletics, particularly tennis, and stays fit by working out and running. He commented that, “We all work hard. It’s important to be in good mental and physical shape to enjoy life.” He regards his wife and two children as his chief source of inspiration and enjoys sports and boating as family activities.
