The last steps of Olof Palme – in presence of a murderer

November 29 @ 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Listen to journalist Lars Borgnäs in a discussion with Executive Director Mats Andersson and Lars Johansson on his theory of the murder.

When the killing shot was fired on 23.21 February 28 1986, Palme was Sweden’s most controversial person, and even many high-ranking people within the police, such as Säpo and the military, saw him as a threat and a traitor against the country. The murder was the beginning of an end of a once open Swedish society.

The aftermath of this tragic night has led to one of the most significant criminal investigations in history and resulted in documents and testimonies that would take one person nine years to read through. The police investigation has been crippled by incompetence and conspiracy theories and led several private investigators to be more successful and reliable than the police.

One of the most knowledgeable people about the subject is Lars Borgnäs, known for his television documentaries, journalism, books, and radio program about the Palme murder. Earlier this year, in his book” Palmes sista steg” (The last steps of Palme), Borgnäs returns to the crime scene and shed light on central testimonies and documents that paint a new and terrifying picture of how the murder took place. The book explains a different theory to the officially accepted and blatantly points out the police’s mistakes and critical facts as to why the prosecutor’s official theory, which was supposed to solve the murder earlier this year, does not coherent.

Listen to renowned Swedish journalist Borgnäs in a Sunday brunch on 29th of November at 10 AM PDT, 19 CET in discussion with our Executive Director Mats Andersson and Lars Johansson from Burks & Johansson LLP, both obsessed with the murder and following it since day one.
