Dr. Hans E. Johansson is an independent science and business consultant based in California, advising Swedish and U.S. start-up companies in the area of genomic tools, focusing on technology, GMP manufacturing, and business development.
With more than 20 years of experience in research, product development, and strategy within academia, start-ups, and the biotech industry, Dr. Johansson has extensive knowledge of how to successfully bring new products to market from conception to fully supported product lines.
Dr. Johansson holds a B.S. from Stockholm University and a combined Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the European Molecular Biology Laboratories in Heidelberg, Germany, and Stockholm University. He was a postdoctoral researcher in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and later served as Assistant and Associate Professor at Uppsala University, where he holds the title of Docent in Molecular Biology. He has lived in the U.S. for a total of 30 years, 25 of those in the San Francisco Bay Area.
