Meet the speakers;
Devan Friday
Devan Friday is a Senior Tax Accountant at Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc. CPAs in San Francisco, California. Since 2007, Devan has been providing accounting and tax compliance services to cross-border individuals and businesses of all types and sizes. Devan has also developed specific expertise in the U.S. tax implications and compliance of controlled foreign corporations, expatriation implications under IRC Section 877A, and also the U.S. tax treatment of foreign pension and retirement plans. In 2009, Devan was awarded the CalCPA San Francisco Chapter Young and Emerging Professional Award for Excellence.
Devan is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Pacific Union College and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University, where his thesis centered around U.S. taxation of foreign retirement plans. Active in the business community, he holds memberships with the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Business Association Italy America, and the German American Chamber of Commerce.
Anthony Amodei
Anthony Amodei is a Senior Tax Accountant at Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc. CPAs in San Francisco, California. Since 2012, Anthony’s work has focused on accounting and tax complia
nce services for individuals and businesses with international complexities. Anthony is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Marquette University, a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Marquette University, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. Anthony is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and regularly attends various international business events around the Bay Area.
