saccsfsv The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco & Silicon Valley

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco & Silicon Valley is excited to offer an internship run virtually from Sweden starting from January 2021.

We have a 70-year history as a leading facilitator of transatlantic trade and knowledge sharing between Sweden and Northern California. Our longstanding presence and reputation in San Francisco give us deep local roots and a unique understanding of the Bay Area business environment as it intersects with a Swedish business.

  • Connect Sweden with Northern California
  • Foster and support the Swedish-American Business Community by creating opportunities to share information and knowledge through a number of high-profile networking events, webinars, and seminars throughout the year.
  • Support our business community by doing dedicated analysis work, market research and connecting people
  • Adding value for our members, both the individual and business members. We want to create a thriving membership organization where people feel the added value of being a member.

Traditionally all SACC interns are from Sweden and come to California for a period of 6-12 months. Considering the challenges that COVID-19 has put on our and many organizations we have discovered the advantage of having someone locally based in Sweden and would like to pursue that opportunity on a more permanent rolling basis.

As an intern at SACC-SF/SV, you have the unique opportunity to be part of the cutting-edge setting that is the Bay Area today. Our dynamic team of “doers” organize our work much like a startup and provide the opportunity to explore different skill sets. By working in a highly inspirational atmosphere, meeting and collaborating with industry leaders and professionals in a variety of business sectors, you will have the opportunity to expand your professional network, gain new experience, and advance your skills. This is a once in a lifetime chance to gain a competitive edge — in Sweden and internationally — and to experience a part of the world that is changing history.

Our intern roles entail different focus areas of responsibility. At SACC-SF/SV we strive to build an effective team and these roles may be adapted to suit the qualifications of the applicants. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Mats Andersson at mats.andersson@sacc-sf.org.
