The Honorary Consulate General of Sweden in San Francisco represents Sweden in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Its mission is to provide assistance to Swedes and to promote Swedish interests in the Bay Area.
The Honorary Consulate General consists of:
- The Section for Consular Affairs
- The Section for Information and Culture
Section for Consular Affairs
Handles issues relating to passports, residence permits based and emergency assistance. Schengen visa applications for residents of California are handled by the Travisa/VFS Global office in San Francisco.
Section for Information and Culture
Facilitates exchange between Sweden and the U.S., organizes and promotes events and provides information about Sweden and Swedish activities in California.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Swedish Consulate in San Francisco will be open by appointment only and all appointments will be scheduled via email. Please note that we will not be open for drop-in at this time.
